CBD Oral Care Products

A study published in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology and Oral Radiology shows that CBD can effectively reduce oral inflammation and promote the healing of oral mucosal wounds. Emerald Health Therapeutics Inc. in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, has launched a cannabis spray product under the SYNC Nano brand. This fast-acting spray uses nanoemulsion technology for quick onset and shorter duration of effects. Compared to traditional ingestion methods, this product allows consumers to rapidly and fully absorb cannabis. The sublingual spray takes effect in 10-20 minutes and lasts for 2-4 hours.

The fast-acting spray contains 15mg/ml of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), natural citrus flavor, and limonene terpenes. While providing a fresh and pleasant taste, the cannabis terpenes help people effectively combat anxiety and depression. The spray bottle allows for controlled dosing, with each spray containing about 1.5mg of THC. It’s easy to store and convenient to carry.

The first batch of products has been shipped to Alberta and Saskatchewan for sale and will be available to consumers soon. Additionally, Emerald plans to launch a CBD rapid-action spray, which will contain 15mg/ml of cannabidiol (CBD), also natural citrus flavor and limonene terpenes.

During the past pandemic period, Ecofibre announced that its subsidiary, HempBlack, distributed masks across the United States to address the growing demand during the coronavirus pandemic. CEO Eric Wang stated that this acquisition will promote to establish the necessary production infrastructure, which is crucial for the company’s sales of hemp products. It lead to the completion of the first strategic priority. In the future they will focus on integrating and growing the merged hemp business. Masks have become a retained habit for many people in the post-pandemic era.

U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, while visiting an Ecofibre hemp factory in Georgetown, Kentucky, stated that hemp masks are “one of the best methods” to combat the spread of the Covid-19 virus. It’s said that Ecofibre Limited completed the acquisition with USD 10.5 million in cash, and future payments of up to USD 21 million in cash and stock over the next five years, contingent upon TexInnovate achieving two consecutive years of EBITDA of USD 6 million.

CBD Treatment on Animals

A female elephant in Warsaw Zoo, Poland, is being treated with CBD for depression. In March, Erna, the oldest female elephant in the zoo and the largest among the four elephants, passed away. This loss had a severe impact on the mental state of the remaining three elephants, who are accustomed to living in groups. Fredzia, a female elephant, showed very obvious signs of sadness and depression. Dr. Agnieszka Czujkowska, head of the zoo’s rehabilitation department, is experimenting with CBD to treat her.

Dr. Czujkowska stated that Fredzia was very sad and depressed when she saw Erna’s body. The death of an elder in the elephant group can have a significant impact on the herd, and it may take months or even years to restore the original harmony.

To help the elephant, the zoo’s rehabilitation staff used CBD to treat Fredzia. CBD stimulates the production of dopamine and serotonin. In the future, the zoo’s management plans to consider using CBD treatment for other animals with similar conditions, such as rhinos and bears. They aim to complete a comprehensive report on this experiment within two years.

According to Asian Food Navigator, a sustainable food company from New Zealand plans to launch a CBD-based burger through its brand, Craft Meat Co. The Craft Meat currently offers products such as plant-based meat, burgers, sausages, and other ready-to-eat foods. Co-founder Kyran Rei stated that hemp is rich in nutrients and high in protein. The CBD-based burger will contain a very high level of dietary fiber, which is a benefit that other types of products cannot offer.

Additionally, the cannabis used is sourced from Greenfern Industries, a New Zealand medical cannabis producer. And the products are made from 100% locally grown cannabis. The product has already received inquiries from Singapore and Thailand, aiming to meet the needs of ordinary consumers within a reasonable price range. The product was created by researchers at the Riddet Institute, Massey University.

Nike Hemp Sneaker

American sportswear giant Nike has partnered with British retailer size to launch a limited edition Air Zoom Type Hemp sneaker. This product was officially released last Friday on size’s online and in physical stores, priced at £140 ($185).

According to a report by cannabis market intelligence company Prohibition Partners, cannabis beverages may pose a threat to the traditional alcoholic beverage industry.
